Moveable media at last
I've just noticed that in RM8 the media table no longer has hard coded drives and folders but a relative path from the media directory defined in the settings.
This makes it so much easier to move RM data between computers or drives and has been on the wishlist for a very long time.
As an addenda to above - media files that are outside the folders below the defined root folder will still be hard coded. And as the folder path is set in the media table at conversion time, the correct root folder needs to be set in RM before the file is converted from RM7 to RM8.
Glad you pointed that out. I am new to RM and might not have known that. Have a folder path that can be change based on the DB makes much more sense in most cases, of course sometimes you might want a hard coded location for certain things (like video maybe).
