New page: SQL Files List #sql
Our new co-Admin, Pat Jones, has developed a plugin that queries our WordPress media table to list out the SQL files and to what posts they are attached or referenced. It lists all the sql files in alphabetical order together with the posts or pages in which they are referenced and the media caption for the sql file. I have also moved the list page into the Finder menu where it fits best.
In the list a file may have a blank entry for where used. This means it is not attached to a post or page. However it may also be referred to on a page without being an attachment and these are listed too, so a sql file can have multiple entries in the list.Have a look – I hope it helps.
While trying to come up with ways to facilitate finding things on this website, a problem surfaces with the fact that there are two Search tools:
- Theme's Search: it appears on the sidebar of all pages of the site and searches all posts and pages other than Forum posts
- Forum Search: appears only within the Forum space and searches only posts to the Forum
To integrate the results requires customisation of the Theme and/or Forum by us, which also would likely break on automatic updating of the Theme and the Forum plugin.
A second issue arising from the first is the two Searches behave differently with a search string such as "rm8". Theme Search returns results while Forum Search does not. This is frustrating because "RM7" and "RM8" are widely used acronyms in our Forum posts. The reason for the difference is unknown. Other 3-letter strings do return results in the Forum Search and as do other strings of mixed alphanumerics.
This sentence is to test whether rm7sql and rm8sql and rmg and rm9.5 result in results when searched using a 3-char term.
