RM8 Multimediatable column MediaPath

My database often contain an entry like "?\foldername". Why does RM8 do that and how does it reconstitute the full pathname?

RM8 responded to a longstanding request to support relative addresses for media files with:

RM8 Relative path symbols
(these are expanded when found in the first position of the stored path)

~ home directory (%USERPROFILE%)
? media folder as set in RM preferences
* RM main database file location
