SourceTable.IsPrivate

Does anyone know how RM8 uses the column- SourceTable.IsPrivate ?

It seems about a third of my sources have a value of 1 for IsPrivate, others are 0.

There's no way to mark a source as private in the UI.

I just remembered that I did import a year ago from TMG. It had private sources. Maybe that's it.

Just had a little look at it. The field existed in versions before RM8, was typically set to 0 and is imported to RM8 unchanged. All sources newly created in RM8 may get it set to 1 based on limited observation. Possibly had nothing to do with the setting in TMG but you could check that by doing another import from TMG into RM7 and into RM8.

It's possible that development is temporarily using the field simply to distinguish between sources that were imported from RM7 or elsewhere and those created within RM8.

I agree that there is nothing obvious about this field being acted on by anything that RM8 or its predecessors do and it still remains inaccessible from the UI. Just another intended feature that has yet to see the light of day in 12 or 13 years.
