Richard Otter is a skilled, professional developer who is also a RootsMagic user and has been building a library of scripts that are worthwhile checking out for possible solutions for your own needs. He publishes them on GitGub, list of them screenshotted below 2023-05-19. Check for updates and fuller descriptions. He has posted notices of significant ones in the Forum and, hopefully, will continue to do so.

I want to emphasize that some of the tools in the repo, like TestExternalFiles and SwitchSourceTemplate have been polished for general use, while others work in specific circumstances and don’t have much user documentation.
All of these tools met my specific needs. I’d be happy to help others adapt the scripts to their specific circumstances.

I just created a new release for the TestExternalFiles v1.5 utility.
No need to update if you’re already using 1.4
This release will be easier to use for new users
I uses COLLATE NOCASE in the SQL which previously used RMNOCASE to eliminate the need for the extension.

TestExternalFiles v 1/6 released.
Not much new.
A convenience feature allows the report file to be automatically opened in your editor when it is generated.
Main reason for release is to fix a crash when a database has a media entry with a blank path or filename.
Just released v1 of ConvertFact utility.
Same concept as Jerry Bryan’s SQL listed in this site’s forum, but-
runs as a standalone utility
can do Family to Personal fact type changes
can set limits on which fact to convert
correctly deals with witnesses and roles.

I think this utility will most benefit users who have imported their projects from TMG. The RM import feature created lots of family type facts which I wanted to convert to shared facts. This does it.
