Could WikiTree Sourcerer feed a SQLite Tool?
Quote from Jim Duggan on 2024-05-15, 11:09 amIn working with WikiTree I have had to use one of the Open-Source browser extensions called Sourcerer. In summary, it uses a person profile to populate queries to 20+ sources including the usual suspect of Ancestry, Family Tree, and Find A Grave. It then can be used to build citations and references for WikiTree.
It seems current and well-supported. I have not explored the code or design, but the following potentials are intriguing.
- Load an intermediate RM Tree from Sourcerer outputs.
- Create well-formated Sources to input to RM
- Query RM for matches to the Wikitree Query.
- Extend the list of data sources that can be queried from RM
- Complement or extend Tree Share.
- Substitute for the lost tree-share functions of RM7 and RM8.
My gut feel is that all of these would only be feasible through an intermediate. I would not want to try to load RM directly.
Has anyone looked at the Sourcerer project?

Sound interesting -- although I am not a big fan of most browser extensions (as they often do much more that what you are seeing.
